Sella Rice is from the same harvest as steamed, long grain basmati rice but is a more hardy variety that stays fresh longer without losing its texture or flavor. Sella is carefully nurtured and cultivated to retain its nutritional value: it is a brilliant source of healthy carbohydrates, is high in protein, zinc, iron and vitamins like A and C.
It is commonly used in pulaos and variety rices such as tamarind rice, lemon rice and tomato rice. Golden Sella's genteel aroma enables this variety to absorb flavors of accompanying ingredients like herbs and spices. It's high fiber content means it is a more easily digested grain.
